Juventus Battle Chelsea For Matuidi
According to le10sport.com - via Calciomercato.com - Blaise Matuidi could still end up at the J Stadium next season.
These reports claim in order for Juventus to secure the signature of Paris Saint Germain's Matuidi we'll have to fend off the challenge from Chelsea for the midfielder.
Matuidi had been edging towards a move to Juve last summer but PSG eventually pulled the plug on the deal and he remained with the French champions. However, it's expected the French international will leave the Ligue 1 side at the end of the season.
Juve and Chelsea might have an interest in Matuidi with both clubs reportedly rivalled by Chinese Super League clubs as well - they might be able to offer the sort of money the Bianconeri and Blues can't.
Matuidi is one player that could arrive but one that isn't going to leave Juve this summer is Paulo Dybala - who has also been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United - as his new contract will soon be signed.
Well, Juve CEO Giuseppe Marotta is confident enough on these chances anyway. The Premier League duo along with the likes of Matuidi's PSG have been credited with interest in the Argentina international.
Marotta was quoted by Mediaset - via talkSPORT - as saying.
'Dybala's entourage is in Argentina right now. There is no reason to worry. They will arrive at the end of the month and that is the moment we will sign the contract.'
